Matro.nu is a foundation that has been working since 2016 to create conversation-friendly sound environments in restaurants, cafés and other catering establishments. Matro.nu wants to make it easier for you as a guest to enjoy a meal without having to raise your voice to be heard.
The vision is to improve sound environments and thereby contribute to more pleasant and relaxed visits - both for guests and staff. By drawing attention to restaurants with excellent sound environments and offering practical advice to restaurateurs and café owners, Matro.nu wants to inspire more people to prioritize sound comfort.
Your voice matters! As a guest, you can give your opinion on the sound environment in different restaurants and cafés. Every year, the Matro.nu Foundation awards the prestigious "Restaurant with the best sound environment" prize, as well as two honorary mentions, to highlight role models in the industry.
