About the Student Union Malmö

The Student Union Malmö is run BY students FOR students. The union works to give students at Malmö University a better education and a more enjoyable student life. The Student Union sits on all committees and bodies and is the students' voice in all decisions made at the university. The union organizes soup lunches, student breakfasts, music pubs and Kaffe med Kåren, all to make the students' study time as good as possible.

The Board of the Malmö Student Union consists of 9–11 members who implement the decisions of the General Assembly. The Board includes a paid executive committee comprising the chair and vice chair, who lead Board meetings, prepare matters for decision, and represent the Union’s members in dealings with the media and the outside world. In addition, there are paid student representatives who serve on the university’s committees and bodies and ensure that the faculty is student-friendly. There are also volunteer student representatives who serve as the student voice on the board.

“We use Reduca in our day-to-day work and to compile all our documentation. We use the portal to sign minutes, all our planning is entered into the calendar, and we use Meetings to manage all information related to board meetings,” says organizational administrator Lena Petersson.

Reduca provides a clear structure and overview with its board calendar, interactive dashboard, and the ability to switch accounts between portals. The Malmö Student Union has one portal for the board, one for the council, and one for the nomination committee, which creates an optimal structure and provides a clear overview of all activities, decisions, and documents.

“Reduca has made our board work and the planning of all our activities so much more efficient. In addition to the board having its own portal, our council also has access to one, where we compile all documentation, make all decisions, and sign minutes. The nomination committee also has a portal that allows us to manage all documents related to the application process in accordance with GDPR,” says organizational administrator Lena Petersson.

In Reduca, users can easily sign minutes, decisions, agreements, and other important documents using BankID. It’s easy to manage all documents that can be shared with both internal and external parties without granting access to the portal. There are smart GDPR-compliant features, such as automatic document deletion.

“In Reduca, we collect all documentation, make all decisions, and sign minutes in a streamlined way, which makes our work much easier,” says organizational administrator Lena Petersson.
