About Swedish Padel

Swedish Padel Federation

Padel – Europe's fastest growing ball sport

Padel is a racket sport that adopted the rules and principles that apply today in 1974. The World Championships were held for the first time in 1992, and the World and European Championships are held every two years.

The game is usually played in doubles, with the same scoring system as in tennis. Regular tennis balls are used, the court measures 10×20 meters, and the surface is concrete, cement, plastic, or artificial turf.

The court is surrounded by four-meter-high walls made of glass or brick. Balls that hit the walls around the court after bouncing on the ground are still in play, just like in squash, for example.
